12/12/20 at approximately 03:17 hours this morning, Solvay Fire Department
was activated for a smoke odor/smoke condition in the area of 200 Sixth Street, in the village of Solvay. The alarm was upgraded to a Multiple Occupancy Fire, and then quickly to a “99”, which added Taunton Ladder 5, and multiple other mutual aid companies. Taunton Ladder 5 (A/C Klimek) responded and was 3rd arriving, assuming the “Truck Company” responsibilities. The Ladder’s crews went to work assisting with search and extensive overhaul. Ladder 5’s crew worked on scene for roughly 2 hours before returning to service.
